Paulsen Launches Spark: Women in Agribusiness

January 17, 2017

On January 17, Paulsen launched its first podcast series, Spark: Women in Agribusiness.

The podcast features Paulsen president Sara Steever hosting discussions with successful women in agribusiness careers.

Steever hopes the series will encourage young women to consider careers in agribusiness.

“I think many young women simply aren’t aware of the amazing career opportunities available in agriculture,” said Steever.

“This includes young women with a farm background as well as those who may have never been on a farm.”

“There is so much untapped potential, and it is important for the future health of our industry that we reach young women while they’re still planning,” she said. “This can also have a profound effect on rural communities that are struggling to stay viable.”

“In addition, we need great minds—men and women alike—to help shape the future of agriculture,” said Steever.

Spark: Women in Agribusiness podcasts are available at www.paulsen.ag, iTunes and Stitcher. In the near future they will be combined into curriculum for FFA students and NAMA Student Chapters across the U.S. Click to listen to the Spark: Women in Agribusiness introduction.
