Giving Back This December

December 16, 2014

Paulsen spent the past month preparing for the holidays and helping to spread the joy of the season. It started at The Banquet with a few early birds cooking eggs, pancakes and sausage, and the rest of the Paulsen crew serving it to the guests. The Banquet provides hot food twice daily to anyone in need of assistance. While there, we learned about their Hoodies & Footies project—a plan to give away a new hooded sweatshirt and pair of socks to each guest for Christmas to help keep them warm throughout the winter. We collected 15 sweatshirts and 30 pairs of socks to contribute to the effort.

We also continued our annual tradition of volunteering at the Children’s Inn gift wrap booth at the local mall. Shoppers can drop off packages and have them beautifully wrapped in exchange for a donation to the Children’s Inn, a local non-profit that provides a safe location and support to victims of abuse.
