NAMA Fall 2017 Conference Goes Full Throttle

September 26, 2017

This year’s National Agri-Marketing Association’s Fall Conference was held in Milwaukee, Wis., from September 19-21.

Paulsen President Sara Steever attended the conference, which kicked off with about 180 participants. “The NAMA Fall Conference provides a great opportunity for learning and networking,” said Steever.

Activities on Tuesday featured the Badger Ag Tour. More than 40 lucky “tourists” visited Confections for Any Occasion – specialty chocolates, the Carolina State Farmers’ Market, Widmer’s Cheese Cellars, Vir-Clar Farms and Miller Brewing Company.

On Wednesday, the Keynote Kickoff Session began with a warm welcome from NAMA President Amy Bradford. Keynote speaker Brian Carter spoke on maximizing your marketing profits.

Two rounds of breakout sessions covered topics such as social trends, data decoded, consumer food trends and building your personal brand.

Thursday’s events included a networking luncheon, speaker Jessie Corning of Culver’s sharing a story of the Thank You Farmers initiative and breakout sessions on consumer food trends with Suzanne Fanning with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.

Awards for professional excellence were given to a number of ag marketing experts, including Jill DeLucero of National Cattlemen’s Beef Association for product management.

“Paulsen works with Jill on a variety of projects, and she’s a consummate professional,” Steever said. “Her award was well-deserved.”
