Paulsen Staffers Attend 73rd Annual NAFB Convention in Kansas City

November 14, 2016

Paulsen representatives Marcus Squier, Tori Halverson, Kristi Moss and Greg Guse were among those attending the annual convention of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB), November 9-11 in Kansas City.

Highlights of the 73rd annual meeting included educational seminars, the popular Trade Talk expo, keynote address from Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, the annual NAFB Foundation auction fundraiser, along with plenty of industry networking.

Paulsen client Kubota Tractor Corporation teamed up with its recent acquisition, Land Pride, to meet with numerous farm broadcasters during the annual Trade Talk event. Marcus Squier, VP, director of client services, and Tori Halverson, account specialist, coordinated interviews between Kubota and Land Pride representatives and the broadcasters.

“Trade Talk is an excellent way to share timely and relevant client news with farm broadcasters who reach their audiences with the information,” said Squier. “It’s very effective and efficient for both our clients and the farm directors of ag radio stations and networks to gather and distribute newsworthy information in this way.”

During the most recent convention, farm broadcasters Bob Bosold of WAXX/WAYY and Lynn Ketelsen of the Lindner Farm Network were inducted into the NAFB Hall of Fame.

“We congratulate Lynn Ketelsen and Bob Bosold on this distinctive and well-earned honor,” said Greg Guse, Paulsen EVP and industry analyst. “Both of these farm broadcasters have made significant contributions to agriculture and the ag communications industry. They’ve made an important difference in the lives of their listeners.”
