Paulsenites Head to Music City to Attend Annual NCBA Convention

February 8, 2017

Beef producers from throughout the U.S. converged in Nashville in early February to attend the 2017 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show. A record attendance of nearly 9,000 beef producers and industry representatives participated in this year’s event.

Paulsen was well represented at the convention with Sara Steever, president; Greg Guse, EVP, industry analyst; Kacey Herrmann, account coordinator; and Anshu Chandra, web project manager, taking in the many speakers, meetings and events scheduled during the annual three-day event.

Paulsen clients Alltech, Inc., Crystalyx Supplements and Sweetlix Supplements were among over 300 exhibitors participating in the NCBA Trade Show.

“The NCBA annual convention is one of the premier events in agriculture,” said Sara. “It’s also a tremendous learning experience with seminars and speakers that address a wide range of topics. We were pleased to support our clients at this show in a number of ways.”

Greg indicated there was a fair amount of optimism among beef producers and exhibitors in spite of cattle market conditions being less than ideal.

“There’s a new sense of hope and optimism, due in part to a new administration in Washington, D.C.,” he explained. “Beef producers are hopeful for fewer regulations driving their industry. There’s also hope for improved export opportunities to build greater demand for U.S. beef. Of course, time will tell how these issues play out in the coming year,” he added.
