South Dakota Corn Growers and Paulsen Awarded Best of Show Honors at National NAMA Conference

For the first time in its 61-year history, Paulsen Marketing has won a national Best of Show NAMA award with an advertising campaign created for the South Dakota Corn Growers Association. Elements of the campaign included the Amazing Corn Adventure interactive trailer and Ag Rules, both of which educate a consumer audience on the importance of corn in our daily lives.

The award was announced at the Best of NAMA awards presentation, the kick-off event for the 2012 National Agri-Marketing Conference in Kansas City on April 18-20.

“We were absolutely thrilled with this award,” said Greg Guse, Paulsen president. “It is so gratifying and so humbling for our work to be recognized in this way. There are so many people to acknowledge for this award–the South Dakota Corn staff and boards of directors, and the Paulsen creative and production teams who collaboratively worked together to make this program a reality. It truly was a team effort.”

The agency received four awards in addition to the Best of Show—Advertising honors. First place awards went to the South Dakota Corn Growers for their entry in the category Producer or Company-Funded Advertising Campaign as well as in the category of Producer Funded Public Relations Program. They also received a merit award in the Exhibits category. A merit award went to Paulsen and client AgStar Financial Services for the Wheel Deal Insert in the category of Unique Print Advertising.

“With over 1200 entries from ag marketers and agencies from all over the country, the Best of NAMA competition is pretty overwhelming when you see the quality and creativity of the work that is entered,” explained Guse. “We are very proud to be recognized with the two first-place awards and the merit award, along with this year’s Best of Show—Advertising. It was a fantastic showing for Paulsen.”
