World Pork Expo Truly a Global Event

June 15, 2017

Pork industry representatives from throughout the world converged on Des Moines, Iowa, June 7-9, to attend the 29th annual World Pork Expo, sponsored by the National Pork Producers Council.

Events included a trade show exhibiting the latest developments in technology and products for the pork industry, numerous business seminars, National Hog Farmer’s new product tour and of course the biggest and best pork barbeque to be found anywhere.

Paulsen EVP, Industry Analyst Greg Guse attended the Expo and was impressed with the crowd size and number of new exhibitors at that show.

“The pork industry is indeed alive and well,” he said. “The number of international visitors and the number of new companies serving the swine industry is quite impressive. The new technology now available to pork producers has expanded very rapidly over the past three to five years. It’s exciting to see where this industry is going,” Greg added.
