Lentsch Named CEO of Midwest Dairy Association

South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture Lucas Lentsch stepped down in mid-March and is now the CEO of the Midwest Dairy Association. He served as secretary since April 2013.

“We will miss Lucas’ advocacy for agriculture in South Dakota and congratulate him on this new opportunity,” said Paulsen President Sara Steever. “We wish him well in his role as CEO, bringing strong leadership to dairy farmers and the dairy industry in the Midwest.”

The Midwest Dairy Association manages dairy farmer checkoff funds for a 10-state region.

Lentsch is a native of Veblen, S.D. He was raised on a family dairy farm and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dairy manufacturing from South Dakota State University.
