Paulsen Out in Full Force at NAMA 2018

April 18, 2018

Paulsen was well represented at the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) Conference, April 11-13, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Those in attendance were:

  • Joanie Hess, media strategist
  • Sarah Hill, public relations specialist
  • Lee Larson, associate media director
  • Brittany Lessman, account specialist
  • Kristi Moss, media group director
  • Sara Steever, Paulsen president and NAMA executive committee

The group participated in a golfing event at Top Golf, held meetings with agricultural media and Paulsen clients, and built relationships across the ag communications industry.

Wednesday morning, Larson represented Paulsen by serving on a panel that discussed the future of media.

The NAMA Conference kicked off with the Best of NAMA reception and awards ceremony. Paulsen took home merit honors for the Multimedia National Campaign, for the “This is Why We Do It” campaign for Kubota.

The conference featured a couple of outstanding speakers, including Carey Lohrenz, a former U.S. Navy lieutenant who was the first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot. Lohrenz shared insights on leadership and taking risks in business.

Joe Calloway, business author and expert on effective leadership and business growth, shared insights on what ag marketing companies can do to keep customers happy.

In addition, there were a variety of workshops on topics including PR crisis communications, communicating with farmers on legislative topics, a panel on what media buyers are looking for, and more.

After a successful week, the team tried to beat Snowmageddon 2018 back to South Dakota!
