Paulsen Welcomes Summer Intern Erin Beck

June 8, 2015

The newest face at Paulsen this summer belongs to Erin Beck, a 2015 graduate of South Dakota State University with degrees in agricultural communications and animal science.

Erin grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa where her family runs a cow/calf operation of 350 head of Red Angus cross cattle. She spent three summers working at a research-based prairie farm near Colman, S.D., where she learned about rotational grazing and forage management.

For her communications internship, Erin worked at the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum, where she gained experience in writing press releases and designing ads.

Erin is excited to be a part of Paulsen this summer and to learn more about ag marketing.

“I never thought I’d have the opportunity to be a part of an agency that’s as knowledgeable about the ag industry as Paulsen is,” Erin said. “I’m beyond impressed by the amount of talent I’ve seen within the group of people I’ve met, and I’m looking forward to a summer learning about quality marketing from quality marketers!”

While she isn’t sure what her future career will look like yet, Erin knows that agriculture and writing will be a part of whatever career path she pursues.
