Ag Day at the Washington Pavilion

March 25, 2019

The Paulsen team has helped the Washington Pavilion with their yearly Ag Day event for many years now. This popular Ag Day event for families always adds new sponsors and activities to its lineup, and this year was no exception.

Several Paulsen team members attended, including Account Specialist Allyse Steffen. “It’s always such a great event to sponsor and help with, but it’s even more fun to attend,” Steffen says.

“This year I brought my two-year-old, Charleigh, and my one-year-old, Hunter. Charleigh was a big fan of the piglets, chicks and goats, while Hunter really liked his SD Beef cowboy hat. I enjoyed too many of the exhibits to pick a favorite, but the SDSU ice cream sure hit the spot!”

Kaia Hendrick, special events coordinator at the Washington Pavilion, added, “It was a wonderful celebration of all things ag! With an estimated 2,700 people that day, the lobbies were abuzz with ag activities, animal sounds (pigs, chicks, goats and lambs!) and families enjoying a delicious free lunch. It was a great day of learning about agriculture and where our food, fiber and fuel come from!”

It’s good to see the region’s ag organizations get together and sponsor or exhibit at the Pavilion Ag Day. Paulsen clients who exhibited include South Dakota Corn, Midwest Dairy, SDSU, Pipestone, East River Electric, South Dakota Soybean and Agtegra.
