Clara Jacob’s Five Years at Paulsen: Learning, Growing, Creating

January 25, 2016

Creative Director Clara Jacob says her first five years at Paulsen went by quickly thanks to the people around her.

“When I started it felt like I’d been here for years because it was very comfortable,” Jacob said. “I really enjoy working with all of these talented, creative people. I appreciate the chance to learn and grow and be part of an innovative environment.”

The most recent challenge for her has been learning the innovative avenues of digital marketing.

“It’s quite complex, and it has been really interesting.”

Clara is busy with a number of client challenges these days. She says she’s especially proud of the work she and the Paulsen team have done for South Dakota Corn Growers.

“We have a lot of creative freedom and our client is wonderful, appreciative and supports our vision.”

Her vision for others extends well beyond Paulsen. She is a commissioner on the Sioux Falls Visual Arts Commission and is on the board of directors of Affordable Housing Solutions. She is also a school-based mentor for LSS Mentoring Services.

“I want to help the community, and I’ve been able to provide some marketing expertise to some organizations. They’re all rewarding, but I’m especially enjoying my mentoring experience and encourage other people to become mentors in their communities.”
