Exploring Trends and Agency Culture with Rohit Bhargava

Rohit BhargavaPaulsen President Sara Steever recently had the opportunity to attend a workshop with Rohit Bhargava, author, entrepreneur and trend curator, during an Agency Management Institute network meeting in Austin, Texas.

Rohit is known for his annual book series, Non-Obvious: How To Predict Trends and Win The Future, where he shares how he makes his assessment on trends for the year.

Rohit shared some of his methodologies for curating trends, which center around looking for behavioral and cultural shifts without getting distracted by technology or things that are ancillary to real patterns.

However, what was most interesting were his thoughts on a framework for a modern business culture, which includes hiring individuals with a growth mindset, developing skills in staff that follow their passions, universal likeability, grooming the ability to listen and fostering a culture where it’s acceptable to question the status quo.

He also addressed the role of the agency in helping clients sift through what matters. With the current flux in both marketing and agriculture, that is a role that Paulsen takes very seriously.
