Paulsen Attends 2014 DTN Ag Summit

December 11, 2014

Kristi Moss, senior media director, and Sara Steever, president, attended the DTN Ag Summit in Chicago, December 7-10. A record number of farmers and agribusiness professionals attended the event.

All of the information sessions centered on the theme “Strategies for Ag’s Super Cycles.” DTN editors and high-profile agribusiness executives spoke on topics from risk management and global commodity outlook to data management and on-farm technologies.

“Some hopeful trends for the overall grain market in 2015 were shared, with some lowering in the livestock sector, but with no collapse,” said Steever. “Energy production in the U.S. has the potential to trigger a price war with the Middle East, but the cost of fertilizer should come down for farmers in the U.S. Overall, the mood of the producers present was more hopeful than last year.”
