Paulsen Supports Wheat Growers Day at the Capitol

March 6, 2015

Over a dozen Wheat Growers board members, delegates, leadership team and staff and members of the Paulsen team gathered in Pierre for the first Wheat Growers Day at the Capitol on March 4. The day featured meetings with South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard and Secretary of Agriculture Lucas Lentsch, as well as one-on-one opportunities in both the Senate and House lobbies with state legislators, lobbyists and Cabinet officials. Paulsen-produced information and videos about Wheat Growers were on display in the Capitol rotunda as well as the Senate and House lobbies.

Wheat Growers also provided breakfast and lunch in both lobbies for legislators, state employees, lobbyists and others, while sharing information about the cooperative.

Paulsen President Sara Steever, Director of Client Services Marcus Squier, Public Relations Director Bryan Bjerke and Account Specialist Jenny Kay worked with Wheat Growers to inform and engage state government about the work of the co-op and the importance of agriculture to South Dakota.
