August 26, 2019

A team from Paulsen attended this year’s Dakotafest event in Mitchell, S.D.

The group included Mark Smither, VP, strategic director; Marcus Squier, VP, client services; Alix Pearson, account coordinator; Allyse Steffen, account specialist; and Hannah Gebauer, account specialist.

Paulsen takes advantage of the opportunity to keep up on the latest product trends and brands impacting the industry. “It is always a great opportunity to visit our agency clients, to see our partners continue to advocate for agriculture and support them as only Paulsen can,” says Squier.

Paulsen was also asked to organize and facilitate the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Dakotafest Panel, “Incorporating Conservation Practices to Maximize Farm and Ranch Profitability.”

Panelists included Deputy Secretary of GFP Kevin Robling; State Conservationist Jeff Zimprich; South Dakota Department of Ag Field Representative Rick Vallery; South Dakota State University Extension Soils Field Specialist Anthony Bly; and Pheasants Forever South Dakota State Coordinator Matt Morlock.

The panel discussion highlighted tools and opportunities that farmers and ranchers can take advantage of through various state, federal and private programs. The conservation team in South Dakota has options for every type of farmer and rancher and every type of soil, and they are working together to find a solution that’s best for the land and best for the landowner’s bottom line.
