South Dakota Corn 2018 Campaign Launches

This fall, South Dakota Corn launched a new consumer education campaign.

“Every two years we survey consumer attitudes on issues important to South Dakota Corn,” says VP, Strategic Director Mark Smither. “Our 2018 research showed that consumers are interested in learning about farming practices.”

The campaign, which includes TV, radio, print, digital components, sponsored content, displays and stadium videos, targets South Dakotans living in larger communities. According to research, many of these consumers aren’t familiar with contemporary farming practices.

The TV commercials illustrate—quite literally—the practice of using cover crops and precision farming, respectively. Viewers are directed to visit to learn about farming, technology, sustainability and more.
