World Dairy Expo a World Class Event

October 14, 2014

Over 77,000 people from around the world attended the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, during the first week of October. Three Paulsen representatives including President Sara Steever, Executive Vice President, Business Development Greg Guse and Account Coordinator Allyse Thaler were among those visitors taking in the event.

The commercial trade show included 835 companies from 44 states, six Canadian provinces and 24 countries. Over 2,300 animals were exhibited in the arena.

“It’s truly a world-class event,” said Sara Steever. “It’s so exciting to see the dairy industry thriving as it is right now. There were a number of companies exhibiting that we haven’t see before. That’s certainly a good sign.”

Greg Guse noted the new technology on display at the show. “The new robotic milking equipment and automated feeding equipment is drastically changing the industry,” he said.

The Paulsen team agreed that the World Dairy Expo is one of the premier agricultural events the agency attends each year. It’s a great example of crops, animal nutrition and health, genetics, equipment and facilities all integrated to drive growth and prosperity for a single industry.

“It’s so impressive to see all the components of the dairy industry in a single setting. It gives you a true sense of the size and scope of the dairy business,” added Allyse Thaler.
