Your organization has a brand, whether you know it or not. A clearly defined brand encompasses and communicates your cooperative’s personality, culture and purpose.

It’s important to be in charge of your brand. If you don’t tell your members, employees and the general public who you are, they’ll make it up. And chances are, it won’t be what you would want them to think.

Consider the following questions:

  • What one or two words describe your cooperative’s personality?
  • What differentiates your cooperative from your competitors?
  • How do you want your cooperative to be perceived in your marketplace?
