A leader in the ag communications industry, Sheri Seger of DTN/The Progressive Farmer grew up moving from one small community to another, as her father worked with rural electric associations. She learned to adapt, understand new environments and ask questions. As an expert communicator, Sheri talks with host Sara Steever about listening, networking, working hard without losing perspective and making personal connections in an age of digital technology.

Director of Major Accounts and Digital Strategy at DTN/The Progressive Farmer, Sheri Seger possesses strong skills in advertising, integrated marketing strategy, strategic planning and business development. Previously she was national accounts manager and Chicago sales manager with The Progressive Farmer. Seger graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general management/marketing from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. She is originally from downstate Illinois, near Quincy. Although she was a “town girl,” she grew up understanding agriculture.
